Job Description

The Web Applications Developer is vital to Every Home's custom software solutions, contributing to database design, code development, maintenance, and optimization efforts. This role builds and maintains Every Home’s global data platform and software solutions. You will help deliver solutions for our internal and external custom software solutions by ensuring data integrity, performance, and security. You will also translate Figma UI/UX designs into responsive, production-ready front-end applications that support analytics, reporting, and partner integrations for a global audience.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Participates in our Christ-centered community through working in the HQ office and continuously upholds the ministry in prayer.

Utilize expertise in Linux, Apache, MySQL, and PHP to architect, develop, and deploy robust software applications.

Architect and implement server-side logic using PHP, seamlessly integrating with MySQL databases to ensure efficient data management and retrieval processes.

Assist in implementation of user interfaces using HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript frameworks ensuring cross-browser compatibility and responsiveness.

Design and implement APIs to facilitate communication between frontend and backend systems, as well as third-party integrations.

Conduct thorough testing of applications to identify and fix bugs, ensuring high performance, security, and scalability.

Partner with Product Owners, Data Analysts, and Designers to refine requirements, prioritize roadmap items, and document system designs, API specs, and more.

Organize, document, and version our database schema (ERDs, data dictionaries, field definitions) to provide clear guidance for data extraction and transformation.

Research industry best practices and new technologies or tools.

Stay updated on the latest trends and technologies in software development.

Understand and implement security and data protection.

Apply in depth knowledge of code versioning tools.

Gather and refine specifications and requirements based on technical needs.

Write well designed, testable, efficient code by using best software development practices.

Provide assistance in other areas as requested

QUALIFICATIONS

Has a personal relationship with Jesus Christ

Actively attends/participates in a local church

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or similar field

Experience: 10+ years of similar experience

Other Required Skills: PHP, MySQL, Apache, Linux, JavaScript, JQuery, ReactJS, HTML, HTML5, CSS, CSS3, Web Programming Skills, Web Services (REST/SOAP)

Proven working experience building web applications.

Expert understanding of PHP, as well as experience in integrating MySQL databases.

Expert understanding of how web applications work including security, session management, and best development practices.

Expert knowledge of database design, optimization, and administration, including experience in designing normalized database schemas, writing complex SQL queries, and optimizing database performance.

Proficient experience using JavaScript, JQuery, and ReactJS.

Proficient knowledge of modern HTML/CSS.

Experience in planning and delivering software platforms used across multiple products and organizational units.

Solid grasp of CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker), and infrastructure-as-code.

Ability to organize and store high amounts of complicated data sets.

Demonstrates ability to implement Figma (or similar) designs into production-quality code.

Strong grasp of security principles and how they apply to applications.

Strong problem diagnosis and creative problem-solving skills.

Strong organizational skills to juggle multiple tasks within the constraints of timelines.

Ability to self-motivate, take initiative, make independent decisions, and solve problems.

Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills to maintain relationships and partnerships.

Conduct load testing, query profiling, and performance tuning (indexes, caching layers, server configs) for mission-critical systems.

Excellent problem-solving, analytical thinking, and communication skills.

Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional, distributed team environment.

This position is located onsite in Colorado Springs

Compensation is based on experience.
