The Role:
Calibre is seeking a motivated and experienced fitter to perform repairs, maintenance, and servicing across a range of machinery, equipment, and vehicles. This role is ideal for individuals with strong mechanical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
-Diagnose and repair mechanical faults on a variety of equipment and machinery.
-Perform routine servicing, preventative maintenance, and inspections to ensure operational efficiency.
-Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and service manuals
-Carry out welding, fabrication, and machining as required.
-Assemble, install, and maintain mechanical components, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
-Identify and troubleshoot electrical and hydraulic faults.
-Operate and maintain diagnostic tools and equipment to assess faults accurately.
-Work collaboratively with other tradespeople, supervisors, and engineers to optimize performance.
-Ensure all repairs and maintenance work comply with safety regulations and industry standards.
-Maintain accurate service records, reports, and documentation.
-Perform breakdown repairs efficiently to minimize downtime.
-Adhere to workplace safety protocols, risk assessments, and environmental policies.
-Provide training and mentorship to apprentices and junior team members
-Liaise with service advisors or clients to provide technical recommendations and updates.

-Trade qualification.
-Minimum 2–3 years preferred in similar positions.
-Strong understanding of workplace safety regulations and procedures.
-Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
