JOB SUMMARY
Provides recreational services, assists in locating and furnishing equipment; explains recreation services, activities, facilities, rules, assist in activities registration; filing, writing reports and evaluating recreation programs, to include other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Work is performed under the direct supervision of the Recreation Center & Senior Programs Manager.
SUPERVISION EXERCISED: None.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Assists and prepares data for recreation classes.
2. Provides advice on recreational issues to patrons.
3. Assists in coordinating the recreation program with city departments, and outside organizations such as the school district and various community based groups.

5. Personal computer, including word processing and data base management software; calculator, copy and fax machine; and telephone.

Performs a variety of miscellaneous duties such as answering phone, running errands, picking up supplies needed for activities, making arrangements for use of recreation facilities, setting up tables and chairs for classes, etc.
Attendance is an essential function of the job.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Required Education, Degrees, Certificates, and/or License:
Knowledge of the principles and practices of a recreation center and programs; Knowledge of programming and scheduling classes.
Skill in operation of listed tools and equipment.
Ability to assist in organizing. Ability to coordinate, analyze and utilize a variety of reports and records; ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationship with employees, organization, school and the general public.
Must be a minimum of 16 years of age with the ability to understand written and verbal instructions. Knowledge and/or experience in cash handing skills or running a cash drawer.
Possess or ability to obtain a Texas Drivers License
