Join a highly respected structural steel fabricator as an Estimator based in Irving, TX. This is a great opportunity for a detail-oriented professional with hands-on construction and steel industry experience to contribute to complex commercial projects. Youll be instrumental in developing precise cost estimates and supporting the next generation of estimating talent. This role is key to winning work and driving accuracy across project bids.

What Youll Do:

Perform both computer-aided and manual takeoffs for structural steel components

Analyze drawings, specifications, and contract documents to determine scope and materials

Develop comprehensive labor and material estimates based on industry standards

Evaluate subcontractor and vendor quotes for scope alignment and compliance

Create detailed estimate summaries highlighting both standard and specialized items

Coordinate with the Chief Estimator and project teams to finalize bids

Assist in training and mentoring Estimators in Training, sharing knowledge of fabrication and erection processes

Contribute to internal process improvements and estimating best practices

What You Bring:

Minimum 5 years of experience in the structural steel industry in a similar estimating role

Deep understanding of steel fabrication and erection means and methods

Prior construction project experience required

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents

Collaborative mindset and willingness to coach junior team members
