About the position: Shady Hill School is seeking experienced and skilled math tutors to work with students in Lower School (grades pre-K - 4) and/or Middle School (grades 5 - 8) on a contracted, hourly basis. We are looking for educators who bring a student-centered, developmentally responsive approach to math instruction and can tailor support to individual learning needs. Candidates may work with students in Lower School and/or Middle School, depending on experience and availability. This is an hourly, part-time position with flexible hours, including traditional school hours and after school hours. This position is not eligible for benefits. Primary Responsibilities:
Conduct one-on-one tutoring sessions with students
Plan tutoring sessions to meet identified learning objectives based on assessment results and discussions with the student’s classroom teachers and parents
Document tutoring session objectives, accomplishments and future goals
Collaborate with Learning Resources team and classroom teachers to identify, track, and remediate learning weaknesses
Provide updates on students’ progress and continued areas of focus with parents and teachers as necessary
