Centurion is proud to be a leading provider of comprehensive healthcare services to correctional facilities, state hospitals, and community mental health centers nationwide.

We are currently seeking an Enterprise Azure Architect to lead our organization’s transformation from a fully on-premises environment to a hybrid cloud model. This role will be instrumental in defining the enterprise-wide cloud strategy, designing scalable and secure architectures, and guiding the implementation and migration efforts.

Qualified candidates must reside within a 25 mile commute to Sterling, VA as this is an onsite position.

Key Responsibilities:

Cloud Strategy & Roadmap: Define and lead the enterprise Azure strategy, ensuring alignment with business goals, IT modernization, and long-term scalability.

Architecture Design: Create and maintain enterprise-level architecture diagrams and documentation that illustrate integration between on-prem systems and Azure-hosted services.

Migration Planning & Execution: Lead the planning, design, and execution of infrastructure and application migrations to Azure, ensuring minimal disruption and adherence to Microsoft best practices.

Technology Evaluation & Cost Optimization: Evaluate Azure services and tools to recommend solutions that are technically sound and cost-effective, considering licensing, scalability, and operational efficiency.

DevOps & CI/CD Enablement: Implement and oversee CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices to support agile development and continuous delivery in the Azure environment.

Governance & Security: Establish governance frameworks, security models, and compliance protocols for operating in Azure, particularly in the context of healthcare data and regulatory requirements.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with infrastructure, application development, security, compliance, and business teams to ensure successful cloud integration and adoption.

Documentation & Knowledge Transfer: Produce high-quality documentation and provide training and guidance to internal teams to support sustainable cloud operations

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in CS, IT or a related field (Master’s preferred).

Proven experience of 3+ years as an Azure Architect, and 15+ years of IT experience in medium to large enterprise.

Azure Solutions Architect certification like AZ-305 highly desirable.

Proven experience as an enterprise or solutions architect leading Azure migrations from on-prem environments.

Deep understanding of Azure services including networking, identity, compute, storage, monitoring, and security.

Strong background in infrastructure architecture, SaaS integration, and hybrid cloud environments.

Strong Networking background highly desirable.

Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code (e.g., ARM, Bicep, Terraform), and DevOps tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions).

Ability to evaluate and optimize Azure solutions for performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency.

Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence technical and business stakeholders.

Strong project management skills

Product to market experience is highly desirable.
