Job Summary Under minimal supervision of the Vice President, the Global Program Manager (GPM) will drive the development, creation and implementation of high quality, global, coordinated cross-functional project plans for products in accordance with the program strategy.
The GPM will lead internal resources as well as resources on the client-side to develop the program, identify the goals of the program, and execute to the completion of those goals. Additionally, the GPM is responsible for the ongoing management of the programs; identifying and managing changes, tracking and monitoring internal and external program KPIs, developing plans that drive excellence in execution, ensuring continual program success, identifying challenges and opportunity for improvement towards growth of the program.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Partners with functional leads to develop high quality, integrated, cross-functional plans for crossfunctional sub-teams that are aligned with the overall program strategy.
Frequent travel to our Guadalajara, Maxico location.
Ensures cross-functional alignment and accountability.
Manages the operation of departments to confirm that assigned programs are completed according to specifications, budgets, and timelines.
Regularly communicates with Taiwan headquarters and customers/clients to arrange meetings, confirm program schedules, and discuss any program problems.
Regularly communicates with management regarding the programs status and any problems or potential problems.
Forecasts potential schedule delays and develops alternate plans.
Drives the development and timely completion of annual WPT goals and input to the Global Product Strategy
Documents issues, decisions and action items of functional work package teams and ad hoc project team meetings.
Conducts the risk management and scenario planning and develops contingency and/or risk mitigation plans.
Coordinates activities with external business partners and alliances, where applicable; contributes to a successful partnership outcome.
Staff Development:
Attend staff/development meetings.
Participate in staff training Organization Expectations
Maintain a positive, respectful and professional attitude with all work-related contacts.
Communicate regularly with VP about work concerns.
Meet productivity standards and performs duties as workload necessitates.
Education/Licenses/Certification:
Certificate in Program Management Professional (PMP) preferred.
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business Management, or related filed is required.
Skills and Specifications:
Bilingual in English and Mandarin or English and Spanish are highly preferred.
Flexibility with work schedules and willing to travel to different work locations (Guadalajara, Maxico).
Management consulting experience preferred.
5+ years' program/project management experience.
5+ years' working in or with corporate procurement.
Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills required; ability to relate and communicate well with Clients or Suppliers.
Ability to demonstrate strong organization skills, detail-oriented, ability to multi-task. Must be able to work well in a fast paced and customer driven environment.
Proven ability to establish, develop and manage relationships with executives.
Ability to think critically, problem solve, and troubleshoot.
