Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Technician for our customer in Springfield, Ohio. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and experience in maintaining and repairing equipment within a manufacturing facility. This role requires proficiency in electrical, hydraulics, pneumatics and PLCs. The Maintenance Technician will ensure that all machinery operates efficiently and safely while minimizing downtime.
Responsibilities
Perform routine maintenance and repairs on various types of machinery and equipment.
Troubleshoot mechanical issues using diagnostic tools such as an ohmmeter.
Collaborate with other technicians and staff to address maintenance needs in a timely manner.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs performed.
Adhere to safety protocols and regulations while working in the manufacturing facility.
Assist in the installation of new equipment as required.
Requirements
Proven mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in maintenance roles, preferably within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
Familiarity with logic controllers and their applications in machinery operation.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
Strong problem-solving skills with a logical approach to troubleshooting issues.
Effective communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
A background in military service is a plus but not mandatory.
Must be able to work independently as well as part of a team.
