Location: Moffat County School District

Reports to: Director of Technology

Work Schedule: 12 months

FTE: Full Time, 40 hours per week

Salary: Salary is commensurate and is base on experience. $23.20 - $35.96

Description: The System Admin role will be to install and troubleshoot hardware/software at school sites and District offices. They will also work under the direction of Network Technicians, install, configure, troubleshoot, and repair desktop/laptop hardware and software.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Additional duties may be assigned.

?Configure, troubleshoot, and repair desktop/laptop hardware and software.

Provide daily desktop support to all schools.

Installation of desktops, laptops, iPads, and printers.

Assists network technicians with server, access point, and switch maintenance.

Responds to Help Desk Requests in a timely and effective manner.

Assist network technician with wireless troubleshooting

Installs and configures various operating systems, software, hardware, and peripherals

Administers network accounts for students and staff

Guides users in the proper use of technology

Maintains and supports the technology inventory.

Install, maintains, and troubleshoot software programs

Performs basic service/repair analysis on computers and equipment

Schedules warranty repairs and other vendor services

Maintains professional knowledge by continuing to broaden knowledge of equipment, software, and their implementations

Writes and distributes user-friendly documentation for common software questions

Maintaining a high level of confidentiality and standard of professionalism while providing advanced support to the students for computers and other related systems.

Ability to perform duties with awareness of all district requirements and Governing Board Policies.

Delivers training sessions to students, faculty and staff on the use and features of the system

Additional duties may be assigned.

Position Requirements

Formal Education & Certifications preferred:

High School diploma or equivalent

Two or more years of successful college or trade school related to job responsibilities (or equal experience)

Certifications preferred:

Apple Certified Mac Technician (ACMT)

A+ Certification

Knowledge & Experience

Excellent technical knowledge of network and computer hardware, including Chromebooks and Apple products

Hands-on hardware troubleshooting experience.

Extensive equipment support experience

Working technical knowledge of current network protocols, operating systems, and standards, including Chrome OS and Mac OS

Ability to operate tools, components, and peripheral accessories.

Familiarity with Microsoft, Adobe, Apple and Chrome software systems

Experience using Google Suite products, specifically Google Drive and Docs

Ability to learn quickly, work independently and take ownership of tasks, processes and solutions

Able to read and understand technical manuals, procedural documentation, and OEM guides.

Ability to conduct research into computer issues and products as required.

Sitting for extended periods of time.

Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, hand and power tools, and to handle other computer components.

Lifting and transporting of heavy to moderately heavy objects, such as computers and peripherals.

They also drive and utilize a district-provided vehicle to transport equipment, tools, and other items necessary for work between the different sites.

In addition, they will work in dusty, dirty, and cramped areas.

Supervisory Responsibilities: The employee supervises students in the class, parents and volunteers.
