What You'll Do As A Program Administrator 1 with the Federal Traffic Safety Budget Program:
Within the Ohio Traffic Safety Office (OTSO), provide program direction by relieving superior of non-routine administrative duties pertaining to the Traffic Safety Budget Program:
Act for administrator by independently answering complex &/or confidential inquiries pertaining to the OTSO;
Formulate & implement federal funding policies (i.e., 23 CFR 1300) pertaining to the Highway Traffic Budget program (e.g., sources, activities, data collection & mandatory reporting requirements of federal fund uses &/or accomplishments under the Federal Funding Allocation & Transparency Act (FFATA); proper grant or fund allocation & expenses for assigned projects);
Assume responsibility & authority in administrator's absence;
Serve as liaison between administrator & subordinates;
Provide technical advice to aid Administrator in decision-making regarding program policies, procedures, regulations &/or directives for the Highway Traffic Budget program;
Manage business function of administrator's office & prepare & administer budget;
Process bi-monthly expenses & payroll for reimbursement from federal grants;
Process weekly reimbursement expenses for Traffic Safety budget & sub-recipient expenses & system closeout;
Maintain federal grant tracking system;
Option 1
36 mos. trg. or 36 mos. exp. in business administration, management science or public administration
Option 2
-Or completion of undergraduate core program in business administration, management science or public administration;
AND 12 mos. trg. or 12 mos. exp. in supervisory, administrative &/or managerial position which involved limited research & public contact.
Option 3
-Or completion of undergraduate core program in academic field commensurate with program area to be assigned per approved Position Description on file - Federal Traffic Safety Budget Program;
AND 12 mos. trg. or 12 mos. exp. in supervisory, administrative, managerial &/or staff position which involved limited research & public contact.
