In addition, the selected applicant must submit to a government background investigation and be favorably adjudicated before their first day.rnThis position is primarily remote but will require occasional in-person meetings.

The selected applicant must live within commuting distance of Washington, D.C.rnThe Data Analyst is responsible for collecting, analyzing, and translating complex data into information that is accessible.

Identifies trends and patterns to help organizations make better business decisions and improve performance.

He/She will be focused on compiling Personally Identifiable Information (PII) elements across the organization's systems and documenting them in detail.rnThe Data Analyst will work in a high-profile agency in the Executive Branch, at the very center of government management.

Superior communication skills, the ability to quantitatively and qualitatively analyze information technology (IT) data, prepare data-rich presentations and dashboards for senior government leaders and stakeholders, and great attention to detail are necessary for this role.

The ideal candidate is someone who is eager and possesses a strong work ethic as they will be expected to excel in a fast-paced environment.rnRESPONSIBILITIES:rnrnAnalyze, organize, and transform data into dashboard visualizations and understandable reports.rnDevelop business intelligence tools such as PowerBI, database objects, ETL scripts, and SQL queries to extract information from data sets.rnDevelop and identify existing and valuable metrics, conduct analysis, and identify gaps in data.rnBring technical expertise to ensure the quality and accuracy of IT data.rnExplain intricate technical processes in non-technical terms, and modernize, maintain, and streamline reports for technical and non-technical presentations to leadership.rnOrganize and format data to ensure efficiency and quality in data storage and retrieval.rnPrepare and present quantitative data for an executive audience.rnAnalyze policy implementation requirements to understand necessary metrics.rnCollect, organize, analyze, and connect data across databases and information sources using various toolsrnCreate and update automated scripts to generate reports, graphs, charts, and data tables from data setsrnPerform ad-hoc data analysis rnProvide data model support to DBAs and developersrnDeliver written and oral presentations summarizing results of analysisrnSupport growth initiatives through knowledge sharing and acquiring relevant certificationsrnOther duties as assignedrnrnREQUIRED SKILLS EXPERIENCE:rnrnA minimum of 7 years of experience in data analytics including at least 4 years of experience creating reports utilizing report writing software or Business Intelligence (BI) tools such as Power BI.rnExperience using advanced SQL commands.rnExperience working with relational databases.rnExperience with SQL optimization using indexes and query optimization.rnExpertise in Microsoft Excel and pivot tables.rnExperience supporting IT related projects.rnExperience with Python programming language.rnIndependent problem-solving skills, strong analytical abilities, creativity, and a
