What you'll do
We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join the Clinical Platform domain team.
As a Senior Software Engineer, your mission will be to work on improving healthcare access for patients through our document classification module. You will be working in a feature team developing the core capabilities of our Clinical Platform, which is used by thousands of practitioners every day.
Working in the tech team at Doctolib involves building innovative products and features to improve the daily lives of care teams and patients. We work in feature teams in an agile environment, while collaborating with product, design, and business teams.
Your responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define and implement features to improve healthcare access for patients
Take a leading role within the team and contribute to establishing a technical vision that ensures the performance, security, and usability of the application
Bring your expertise and past experiences to help us continuously improve the way we design, implement, test and monitor high-quality features
Improve the performance of key features
Work with the team on the definition of the migration strategy on the new backend technical stack in Java
Take leadership on delivering roadmap items (together with the team)
About our tech environment
Our solutions are built on a single fully cloud-native platform that supports web and mobile app interfaces, multiple languages, and is adapted to the country and healthcare specialty requirements. To address these challenges, we are modularizing our platform run in a distributed architecture through reusable components.
Our stack is composed of Rails, TypeScript, Java, Python, Kotlin, Swift, and React Native.

Who you are

You have at least 7 years of experience in software engineering. We particularly welcome and value strong expertise in backend development with Java or Kotlin
You are proactive, curious, collaborative and eager to learn
You have a "user first" mindset and want to build a product focused on bringing value to its users, through secure, well-tested and pragmatic code
You are very focused on code quality and have a rigorous testing culture
You are eager to share your knowledge and help the team grow by pair programming and mentoring
