Seeking Press Operator and Press Helper

Description:

Alliance Industrial Solutions has partnered with a leading custom label printing company we are seeking a Press Helpers! Pay: $17/hr

Shift: 1st 6am-4pm Mon-Thu (some overtime on Fridays)

2nd 4pm-2am Mon-Thu (some overtime on Fridays)

Qualifications:

HS Diploma or GED; or equivalent direct experience required

6+ months of manufacturing experience required

3+ months Machine Operator experience preferred

Experience in press operation preferred

Proficiency in programming and operating press machines preferred

Intermediate basic math skills.

Must have the ability to navigate the computer programs utilized on the production floor.

Training and/or exposure to Lean /5S and Process Improvement is a plus.

This is a non-smoking and non-vaping facility. You will not be permitted to smoke or vape on premises or during your shift.

Skills/Aptitudes:

Must be able to document and present information on production

Must have the ability to work cooperatively with co-workers and all levels of management

Must work on a regular and predictable basis in an alert & safe manner.

Good organizational skills and ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.

Ability to work well as a team to ensure production goals are met.

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and job jackets.

Exhibits data accuracy with data entry, good visual acuity.

Ability to speak effectively and present information one-on-one to optimize timely and correct changeovers.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle orders, and press-room equipment and tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, talk and hear; and ability to handle physical workload on average 30lbs 50lbs.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
