Role Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Ab Initio Developer to design, develop, and maintain ETL workflows using the Ab Initio suite of tools. This role requires strong expertise in data integration, data transformation, and performance tuning to support enterprise data pipelines. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in Ab Initio GDE, Co>Operating System, and Metadata Hub, with a focus on delivering scalable, high-performance solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and deploy ETL solutions using Ab Initio GDE, EME, and Co>Operating System.
Collaborate with data architects, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
Perform data profiling, cleansing, and transformation to support data warehouse and reporting initiatives.
Develop and manage reusable components and frameworks within the Ab Initio ecosystem.
Monitor and troubleshoot ETL jobs for performance, data quality, and integrity.
Implement error handling, logging, and job recovery strategies.
Optimize ETL workflows for scalability and performance.
Maintain and manage metadata using Ab Initio Metadata Hub.
Support production deployment and incident resolution as part of the DevOps/Support team.
Document technical designs, unit tests, and deployment processes.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
4+ years of experience in ETL development with Ab Initio tools.
Strong knowledge of data warehousing concepts, data modeling, and ETL best practices.
Proficiency in SQL (Oracle, Teradata, or other relational databases).
Experience with Unix/Linux scripting and job scheduling tools (Autosys, Control-M, etc.).
Familiarity with version control and change management tools (Git, Jenkins, etc.).
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Big Data platforms (Hadoop, Spark, HDFS).
Familiarity with cloud data platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
Knowledge of data governance and data quality principles.
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
Exposure to other ETL tools like Informatica, Talend, or DataStage.
