Learns electronic reporting software and where to find testing requirements.

Responsible for equipment maintenance and cleanliness, while learning and assisting with calibrations.rnTesting and Reporting: Perform and report findings of soil, concrete, masonry and/or asphalt testing in the laboratory under direct observation of more experienced technicians and/or professionalsrnEquipment: Maintain equipment in a clean and functioning manner.rn rnLaboratory Technician I: Performs routine laboratory testing of construction materials under the observation of more experienced technicians and professionals.

Responsible for reporting test results in a logical and complete manner, after review by others.

rn rnMinimum Qualifications:rnrnHigh School diploma/GEDrnAssociate Construction Engineering Tech: rnrn0-2 years of experience in a construction materials laboratoryrnEffective math skills with a basic understanding of weight, volume, pressure, and units of measurernrnrnLaboratory Technician I: rnrn3+ months of experience in a construction materials laboratoryrnOne(1) or more active certifications:rnrnAmerican Concrete Institute (ACI): Field Testing Grade I; Strength Testing Technician; Laboratory TechnicianrnInternational Code Council (ICC): Special Inspector (Reinforced Concrete, Masonry, Soils)rnDOT Certifications in the fields of Aggregate, Conventional Density, Asphalt, and ConcreternrnrnEffective math skills with a strong understanding of weight, volume, pressure, and units of measurernrnrnEffective communication skills (speaking, reading, and writing) using the English languagernProficiently complete data entry into multiple software applications on a smart device, using Microsoft Office and emailrnrn rnWorking Conditions and Physical Demands:rnYou are willing and able to perform the physical demands of this position with the use of Company-provided Personal Protective Equipment:rnrnWorking outdoors in varying weather conditions rnStanding up to 8-12 hours a dayrnRoutinely lifting and carrying 40-50lbs, (field/laboratory samples and equipment) rnManeuver field equipment safely, such as a loaded wheelbarrow, on uneven ground and around active construction sitesrnWorking outside of normal business hours when necessary
