Location: 725 Mason St, Flint, MI 48503 and Villa Linde Pkwy, Flint MI 48532
Contract Length- 3 months
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
Pay Rate: $25/HR
Join one of the most respected names in diagnostics! We’re looking for a dedicated and skilled Phlebotomist II to provide excellent patient care and accurate specimen collection at our Flint Patient Service Center in Michigan.
Key Responsibilities:
• The Patient Services Representative II (PSR II) represents the face of our company to patients who come in, both as part of their health routine or for insights into life-defining health decisions.
• Draw quality blood samples from patients and prepare specimens for lab testing while following established practices and procedures.
• Create an atmosphere of trust and confidence while explaining procedures to patients and drawing blood specimens skillfully, safely, and accurately.
• Demonstrate Leadership Behaviors, focusing on process excellence and sensitivity to confidentiality and accuracy of patient information.
• Perform daily activities accurately and on time under the direction of the area supervisor.
• Maintain a safe and professional environment.
• Confidently perform forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties following established practices and procedures.
• Verify patient demographic info/initials and obtain patient signature post-venipuncture to confirm correct labeling.
• Maintain required records and documentation.
• Promote a positive image to patients, clients, employees, and the public.
Requirements:
• Ability to provide quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently with minimal on-site supervision.
• Excellent phlebotomy skills including pediatric and geriatric patients.
• Flexible and available based on staffing needs, including weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime.
• Commitment to all company policies and procedures including dress code, employee health & safety, and guiding principles.
• Good judgment and decision-making based on established procedures.
• Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and clean driving record (if applicable).
• Ability to travel and work flexible hours at multiple locations with minimal notice.
• Capable of handling multiple priorities in a high-volume setting.
• Superior customer focus with strong communication skills.
• Ability to embrace change and knowledge of the business.
Training locations may vary based on trainer availability.
Required Education:
High school diploma or equivalent REQUIRED.
Medical training (medical assistant or paramedic) preferred.
Phlebotomy certification preferred (mandatory in CA, NV, WA).
Work Experience:
• THREE years phlebotomy experience required, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
• Minimum 2 years in a Patient Service Center environment preferred.
• Customer service experience in retail/service environment preferred.
• Keyboard/data entry experience.
