JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Title: Curriculum Developer
Primary Purpose: In partnership with the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and the executive leadership, this position is responsible for the creation of content that aligns with educational standards and organizational objectives. Their work supports both student learning and professional development through structured lesson plans, multimedia resources, and cutting-edge instructional design.
Skills and Qualifications:
Knowledge of instructional design methodologies and educational technology tools.
Proficiency in tools like multimedia software, e-learning platforms, and Microsoft Office.
Familiarity with educational standards, such as state or national academic guidelines.
Comfortable working independently and collaboratively with other team members
Ability to manage curriculum development projects from planning to implementation
Capability to address learning challenges and create innovative solutions.
Bachelors degree in education, curriculum design, or related field; a master's degree is preferred.
5+ years proven experience in instructional design, teaching, or curriculum development.
Strong communication and presentation skills
Highly professional, organized and detail oriented.
Credentials in instructional design or curriculum development are an advantage.
Major Responsibilities and Duties
Design a new curriculum and lesson plans that meet the needs of learners at various grade levels or professional stages.
Work with instructional coordinators, teachers, and subject matter experts to create effective educational materials.
Analyze the learning objectives of students or professionals to determine curriculum requirements.
Develop multimedia resources, e-learning modules, and other educational content to enhance learning experiences.
Ensure curriculum design meets educational standards and organizational goals.
Regularly revise instructional materials to incorporate feedback, new methodologies, and emerging technologies.
Provide professional development opportunities and training programs for teachers and trainers.
Use educational technology and tools to create engaging, interactive learning formats.
Evaluate the effectiveness of curriculum through student performance metrics and feedback.
