Job Title: Machine Shop Operator & Helper

Location: Conroe, TX

Pay Rate: $19-$20 per hour

Shifts: 12-hour shifts (7:00 AM- 7:00PM or 7:00 PM-7:00 AM)

Employment Type: Full-Time

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dependable and hardworking Machine Shop Operator & Helper to support the daily operations of our manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will assist in machine maintenance, cleanliness, and shop organization. This is a hands-on role that contributes to the efficiency and safety of the machine shop.

Key Responsibilities:

Clean and maintain manufacturing machines, including lathes and material sorters

Change oil in machines and clean up oil spills promptly

Remove metal shavings and debris from machines and work areas

Empty trash and maintain overall cleanliness of the shop

Assist with loading and unloading trucks as needed

Perform general janitorial duties within the machine shop

Organize tools, parts, and materials

Assist machinists with basic tasks such as staging materials, handling parts, and preparing workstations

Monitor supply levels (e.g., rags, fluids, bins) and notify supervisor when restocking is needed

Follow all safety and housekeeping protocols

Qualifications:

Previous experience in a machine shop or janitorial/maintenance role is a plus

Ability to work 12-hour shifts, including both day and night schedules

Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and safety Willingness to learn and follow instructions
