Job Description

Location: Minneapolis, MN (Hybrid: 3 days in-office/week)

Salary: $75,000+ depending on experience and skills

About the Role

Passkey, a trusted MSP serving the Twin Cities since 1991, is hiring an IT Project & Systems Engineer to help design and implement infrastructure, cloud, cybersecurity, and AI-powered solutions—while also staying hands-on with support. This role is perfect for someone ready to grow into a client-facing project leader, while still contributing to the daily technical needs of a small, fast-moving team.

What You’ll Do

Lead infrastructure and cloud deployments: servers, networking, wireless, Microsoft 365, security

Collaborate directly with clients to understand needs, define scope, and deliver tailored solutions

Configure and manage Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Intune, Defender, Azure tools, and more

Implement and secure firewalls, switches, virtualization environments (VMware/Hyper-V)

Take on a mix of support tickets during the first 6–12 months to learn our clients, systems, and processes. As a small team, everyone contributes to daily support, with project-focused time increasing as skills and ownership grow.

Communicate clearly with clients, delegate tasks, and track project progress

Guide clients on the practical use of modern AI tools like Microsoft Copilot and ChatGPT

What You Bring

5+ years in IT support or project engineering (MSP experience strongly preferred)

Advanced knowledge of Microsoft 365, Windows Server, networking, and cloud-based security

Strong experience with virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V), wireless networks, SAN/storage systems, and next-gen firewalls (e.g., WatchGuard, SonicWall).

Solid understanding of cybersecurity principles, including threat detection, incident response, security policies, and hands-on experience with tools used in a SOC environment (EDR, SIEM, MFA, phishing defense, etc.).

Experience with AI tools (Copilot, ChatGPT, prompt crafting)

Willingness and enthusiasm to work onsite with clients, build relationships, and represent Passkey with professionalism and confidence.
