What we are looking for:
The Facilities Engineer II supports facility improvements and projects. Obtaining knowledge of the facility systems and engineering processes is key to improve facility performance, compliance, and operating costs. Overseeing the work of contractors and internal maintenance crews as needed. The Facilities Engineer II will collaborate with the team on project updates and recommendations on the impact to quality, schedule, and costs.
What you will do:
Acquire in depth knowledge on the Building Automation Systems, HVAC, Security, Access Control, and other building systems including modifications, enhancements, programming review and upgrades.
Supports facility engineering improvement activities and manages facility projects.
Evaluates risk and recommends engineered solutions to mitigate the risk from facility shutdown, failures, non-compliance, and underperformance.
Reviews, updates, and/or creates PMs for facility systems including HVAC, Chillers, Boilers, Air Compressors, Electrical distribution, process gases, and process waters systems.
Ensures all documentation for assigned facility projects is available for maintenance technicians and backed up on network shared drives.
Under the direction of a senior engineer, creates and updates schematics, P&ID's, and maintains facility documentation needs using AutoCAD.
Coordinates vendor/contractor supplied PMs as directed.
Collaborate with engineers by providing technical reviews of new equipment
Fosters collaboration and teamwork with technicians, engineers, and all departments
Follows all applicable Company work instructions, S.O.P.'s, and guidelines
Seeks and provides feedback on a consistent basis from peers, and management regarding individual performance
Performs all duties in a safe manner
Has the ability to occasionally travel domestically and internationally
Assists with calibrations as needed
Assists with maintenance system improvements as needed Who you are:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably in Mechanical, Chemical, or Electrical Engineering.
Minimum of 4 years' related experience preferred
Experience in a regulated environment preferred; Facility engineering experiences in an ISO13485 or 21CFR820 regulated environment is a strong plus.
Experience with manufacturing support, facility commissioning, and FDA validation requirements preferred
Familiarity with AutoCAD
Moderate MS-office product skills and proficiency in using CMMS.
Must demonstrate a strong sense of safety awareness
Willingness to accept change, learn, and work with new technology
Troubleshooting/problem solving skills, hands-on problem solver
Strong organizational skills with exceptional time management
Ability to prioritize multiple projects at once
Excellent interpersonal skills with proven ability to develop effective relationships with others and work in a team environment
Ability to manage a technical project, understand the clients' needs, how the needs relate to the scope of the project and how changes will affect other systems.
