Client First Technologies is seeking a Database Administrator/Developer to support a contract with our government customer.? The Database Administrator will be responsible for leading and developing data centric solutions for the program, primarily working with database technologies such as Microsoft SQL Server, SQL, T-SQL, and Microsoft Visual Studio. The ideal candidate must possess a background in performing data analysis and development activities on production-level systems.?This is a full-time remote position.

Responsibilities
Determine data access requirements, transaction rates, volume analysis, and other pertinent data required to develop an integrated database
Remediate tickets escalated to the Tier 2/3 service desk (Tier 2 tickets include but are not limited to data inserts, data updates and corrections, and data deletions; Tier 3 tickets include but are not limited to review of new or modified SQL scripts and system configuration changes)
Consult and advise customer developers to ensure the planning, design, and implementation of the system database will meet customer needs to incorporate all existing database information, as well as planning for growth in the future
Determine changes in the system databases by studying project requirements and identifying database characteristics, such as location, amount of space, and access method
Provide technical expertise to produce detailed database designs and design documentation, including data models, data flow diagrams, data dictionaries, and other technical documentation
Recommend solutions of the system database requirements to meet customer needs by understanding and using the current database physical structure and functional capabilities, database security, data back-up, and recovery specifications
Assist with data analysis activities to determine data relationships and attributes, convert analysis to technical specifications, and advise on database development
Utilize SQL to produce database queries from the system database, as requested
Assist with deployment activities across system environments
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field preferred
Minimum of two (2) years professional IT experience performing database administration and development activities
Experience with Microsoft SQL Server, SQL, T-SQL, and Microsoft Visual Studio
Experience working with software development teams leveraging a variety of development methodologies
Experience with creating reporting and dashboarding solutions
Must be able to work quickly with a high degree of accuracy with cross-functional teams
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
Preferred Qualifications
Proficient with Microsoft 365 platform products and services
Experience developing reports and dashboards with Power BI or other reporting platforms
Experience working with the Department of Veterans Affairs?

Must be able to sit and stand for long periods of time
Occasional travel and overtime may be required

This position is subject to a government background investigation and must meet eligibility for a position designated with Low Risk sensitivity. Candidates with current Veterans Affairs (VA) Tier 1/Low Background Investigation or equivalent (e.g., DoD Tier 3/NACLC, Active Secret) are preferred
