Software Engineer in Test - Beaverton, OR

Position Summary:

This is an exciting opportunity to join Telestream's Live Capture product team as a Software Engineer in Test. The products produced by this group are used in many high-profile live events (e.g. sports, music, reality TV).

Responsibilities:

Identify and report issues, determine their root cause, and verify issues are resolved to satisfy customer expectations.

Perform functional, negative, performance, end-to-end and regression testing.

Maintain existing automation frameworks by adding new features and fixing stability issues to expand and improve upon the capabilities of automated testing.

Develop automated tests as a part of continuous integration to minimize regression cycle.

Create tools for test evaluation and reporting.

Qualifications:

Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Network and Digital Technology, or similar.

2+ years' experience in a QA/testing role with a technology organization.

Familiarity with digital media / video streaming / subtitling.

Experience with defect tracking systems such as Jira.

Use of CI/CD systems for automated testing.

Additional strengths:

Programming capability (e.g. C#, TypeScript).

Proficiency in consuming RESTful APIs through scripting or programming.

Experience with frontend automation (e.g. Selenium, Playwright).

Knowledge of broadcast infrastructure (e.g. SDI, ST2110).

Familiarity with video processing tools (e.g. FFmeg, OBS).
