Lanco Integrated is seeking a Field Service Controls Programmer to join our growing Customer Service team. Our Field Service Control Programmers assist in servicing custom assembly automation from the ground up, working with cutting edge equipment and technology across a broad range of industries. Travel is required 40-60% of the time. When in the field traveling, we pay a 10% premium to your pay rate.
Field Service Controls Programmer Responsibilities:
Work Closely with Lanco’s multi-national customers
Travel both Domestically and Internationally
Repair and modify state of the art automation machinery
Primary Control Systems Include:
PLC – Allen Bradley, Siemens, Beckhoff
Vision – Keyence, Cognex
Robots – Stäubli, Fanuc
Full understanding and utilization of Customer Service documentation
Production support and analysis
Service contract fulfillment. Teaming with Project Manager/Service Manager for specific goals to be accomplished each visit
Assembly of components and organization of materials prior to field installation
Assist mechanical and electrical technicians as necessary to ensure correct functionality of machines and ensure that all systems are in working order
Other duties as assigned.
Field Service Controls Programmer Qualifications:
A.S (associate in science) in Mechanical or Electrical discipline and/or 3-5 years direct work experience
Knowledge of ladder logic programming for various makers of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) preferred, but not required
General familiarity with PLC networks, communications, and interfacing of various devices, both hardware and software.
Knowledge of basic electrical concepts, such as PNP and NPN switches, AC and DC circuits, E-Stop circuits, and stepper/servo motor function
General familiarity with electrical prints and documents
Domestic and international travel is required
Prolonged periods of sitting and standing
Ability to navigate tight spaces and/or uneven terrain
Ability to tolerate viewing digital screen or video display terminal for extended periods of time
Moderate PPE may be required for some aspects of this position
Ability to carry up to 30 lbs.
