Position Overview

We're seeking a skilled Systems Administrator with deep experience in Amazon Web Services (AWS) to support a mission-focused government program. This role is key to ensuring the performance, availability, and security of cloud-based application infrastructure that supports a critical national mission.

You'll join a highly collaborative technical team delivering modern, scalable, and secure cloud solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Manage AWS infrastructure including EC2 instances, networking, and cloud services

Deploy, configure, and troubleshoot application hosting environments

Monitor systems to ensure performance, data integrity, and uptime

Implement best practices for disaster recovery, backups, and system redundancy

Collaborate across engineering teams to align infrastructure with business needs

Provide technical support to internal stakeholders and end users

Stay current on the latest trends and technologies in cloud computing and system administration

Required Qualifications

11+ years of experience in systems engineering or systems administration

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred

Strong background in Linux-based systems and network engineering principles

Deep understanding of network protocols, cloud security, and application hosting

Excellent problem-solving abilities and a detail-oriented mindset

Comfortable working both independently and in fast-paced team environments

Exceptional verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Skills & Certifications

Proficiency in scripting: Python, PowerShell, or Bash

Experience with diverse cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, Oracle Cloud

Familiarity with SecDevOps in cloud-hosted environments

AWS Certifications (such as SysOps Administrator or Solutions Architect ) strongly preferred

Prior experience supporting mission-critical, enterprise-scale cloud systems
