Job Description:

Greyhawk Technology, LLC is seeking a skilled Applications Development Analyst with expertise in Mainframe Focus and WebFocus to support the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) in a major modernization initiative tied to the Florida PALM project. This role involves analyzing and updating legacy reporting and data systems to ensure full compliance with the state's new financial management platform.

The selected candidate will be responsible for converting and remediating over 1,500 financial and reporting assets, collaborating closely with both technical staff and business users. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven professional with deep technical expertise and strong communication skills to work on a high-impact statewide project.

Key Responsibilities:

Analyze and document existing Focus and WebFocus programs and reports.

Design and implement remediation strategies for legacy reporting systems.

Collaborate with users to modernize reports based on current business requirements.

Convert legacy queries to T-SQL and support migration from flat files to database tables.

Work with DBAs to develop views and stored procedures for the Florida PALM transition.

Update reports and applications to incorporate changes in chart of accounts.

Administer the WebFocus environment used for PALM remediation.

Provide detailed documentation and perform knowledge transfer to in-house staff.

Qualifications:

Must Have:

2+ years of experience in Mainframe Focus or WebFocus

Strong SQL skills, with experience in IBM DB2

Familiarity with IBM mainframe environments and JCL

Proven ability to analyze financial reporting systems

Nice to Have:

Experience with Power BI, Cognos, or Tableau

Knowledge of ERP systems and financial platforms

Understanding of Agile or SCRUM methodologies

Familiarity with data warehouse and data lake concepts
