Job Title: Forward Deployed Engineer

Job Location: Berkeley CA

As Forward Deployed Engineer, you will lead the implementation of AI systems for leading

institutions. You will work closely with clients to understand their unique needs and constraints, and partner with researchers to build end-to-end workflows. You will manage deployment in complex cloud and data environments and contribute to important architectural decisions and product roadmaps. You will operate at the forefront of applying AI to real world business problems.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with customers and researchers to thoroughly understand business objectives

and technical constraints

• Lead the technical implementation of custom AI solutions, including prototyping,

deployment, and monitoring

• Deliver high-quality code and documentations in adherence to the highest engineering

standards

• Drive continuous improvements in solution design and deployment process

• Provide targeted training to clients - including non-technical stakeholders - when required

Requirements

• 3+ years as a software engineer, preferably with a focus on backend systems and data

infrastructure

• Proven ability to ship production-grade code in languages such as Python, Java, C++, or

similar

• Effective communicator with experience collaborating with diverse (including non-technical)

stakeholder groups

• B.S. in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related technical field

• Ability and interest in traveling to client sites as needed

Preferred Qualifications

• Practical experience building solutions with LLMs and familiarity with agentic systems

• Foundational knowledge of Machine Learning and understanding of the Gen AI landscape

• Skilled at deploying solutions across multiple cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, Azure, hybrid) and

data architectures
