eCommerce Platform Architect

The eCommerce Architect will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable, high-performance eCommerce solutions using composable commerce platforms (i.e. Commerce tools, Kibo) for all the business units within the family of companies. This role requires a deep understanding of eCommerce architecture principles, best practices, and the ability to leverage modular components to create flexible and customizable solutions.

The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. This position involves significant hands-on development work. Individuals in this position are expected to provide second-level support for end-user issues.

Additionally, this individual will support project efforts by performing build, test, and implementation tasks.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or equivalent professional experience.

Proven experience as an eCommerce Architect or similar role with 7-10 years of experience.

Strong strategic thinking and adaptability to evolving business and technology landscapes.

Proven experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

Hands-on experience with composable commerce platforms (i.e. CommerceTools, Kibo), including implementation of composable solutions and familiarity with its APIs and SDKs.

Proficiency in web technologies (HTML, Python, CSS, JavaScript, RESTful APIs).

Familiarity with front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Next.js) for headless storefront development.

Experience with cloud services (AWS, Azure) and microservices architecture.

nowledge of database systems (e.g., MSSQL) and caching mechanisms (e.g., Redis).

Experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and tools like Docker, Kubernetes, or Terraform.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment.

Extensive hands-on development experience in eCommerce solutions.

Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, commerce tools developer) are a plus.

Experience in developing and maintaining APIs.

Experience with PCI data security standards.
