Cisco Network Engineer

LOCAL CANDIDATES ONLY (Columbus, OH Arena Dist.), 6 Month CTH, Onsite 4 days a week NO (Sponsorship, C2C, H1B), Pay $60-$69 per Hour W-2

CBTS is searching for a Cisco Network Engineer Level II. This position is a technically skilled and collaborative role that will serve as the primary point of contact for multiple IT teams, including Network Infrastructure, Server Systems, Communications/Monitoring, and Endpoint Engineering. They will be responsible for implementing and maintaining multiple Infrastructure/ Networking tools, ensuring they are effectively integrated, tuned, and aligned with company policies.

This position plays a critical role in supporting the deployment, optimization, and troubleshooting of a wide range of infrastructure technologies and services, while also acting as a key liaison for security-related IT initiatives.

Act as the single point of contact for to the Network Infrastructure on all security-related matters.

Involved in implementation and integration of security tools acquired by Security Operations and/or other IT teams.

Tune, troubleshoot, and maintain a comprehensive suite infrastructure equipment that includes:

MUST HAVE: firewalls, routing, switching, vLANs, network monitoring

Nice to Have : WAFs, SD-WAN, and Load balancing

Collaborate with IT Infrastructure and Security team to ensure security policies are consistently applied across all tools and platforms.

Maintain technical documentation, operational runbooks, and knowledge-sharing resources.

Stay current with emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and security technologies.

Ability to analyze logs for system health and troubleshooting.

Assist Security Operations with security incident when required.

Requirements:

3+ years of experience as a network Engineer with the following skills: Network Segmentation vLANs, Cisco routing and switching, Palo Alto Firewalls and network monitoring.

Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and cross-team collaboration skills.
