Automation Test Lead

Akkodis is seeking an Automation Test Lead for a contract job with a client in Plano, TX, or Charlotte, NC (hybrid). You will be responsible for designing, building, and executing manual and automated test cases to ensure software meets functional, non-functional, and compliance requirements, while leading test planning, test case reviews, and providing comprehensive test coverage.

Rate Range: $55 per hour to $60 per hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Strong knowledge of functional, non-functional, and compliance testing

Experience designing, building, and executing manual and automated test cases

Proficiency with test automation frameworks and tools

Ability to lead test planning and test case reviews

Skilled in identifying and implementing automation opportunities

Expertise in conditioning, generating, and managing test data, including sensitive data

Knowledge of data compliance requirements across test environments

Experience in maintaining and managing regression, smoke, integration, and other test suites

Strong defect management and triage skills

Ability to trace tests to requirements and ensure full traceability through the development lifecycle

Familiarity with test management and defect tracking tools

Strong collaboration and communication skills to work with subject matter experts, stakeholders, and Scrum teams

Ability to ensure stories are well refined with clear acceptance criteria

Experience implementing and maintaining test frameworks

Detail-oriented with the ability to create comprehensive and well-structured test cases

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience developing automation test suites using Selenium and Cucumber.

Hands-on experience with the TestUDo framework for testing.

Prior experience serving as a Test Lead, with the ability to guide and coordinate testing efforts.

Proficiency in Selenium for automation testing.

Proficiency in Cucumber for behavior-driven development and test automation.

Strong knowledge of Core Java for building and maintaining automated test scripts.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Test Automation experience.
