Lead Business Systems Analyst

We are seeking two Lead Business Systems Analysts to join a team focused on delivering data-driven solutions within an enterprise data warehouse (EDW) environment. This is a hands-on, analysis-heavy role ideal for someone with strong technical skills, a proactive mindset, and proven leadership experience in business systems analysis. The ideal candidate is comfortable working with SQL and other databases, leading discussions, and coordinating across technical and business teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as a liaison between business stakeholders, the product owner, and technical team members
Translate business needs into detailed technical requirements and build/manage the product backlog
Work in an Agile environment to develop Features and User Stories
Facilitate backlog refinement sessions, ensuring user stories are clear, detailed, and prioritized
Lead requirements-gathering sessions and create source-to-target data mapping documentation
Conduct detailed analysis of existing SQL Server databases and EDW to identify gaps
Prepare usable spreadsheets and documentation for EDW users
Collaborate with Product Owners and SMEs to refine Epics and create actionable User Stories
Identify and escalate any impediments through the Scrum Master
Actively participate in risk identification, mitigation planning, and issue resolution
Preferred Skills:
Strong SQL and database analysis skills (SQL Server, Oracle, Redshift, Snowflake)
Experience leading/facilitating requirements sessions and technical discussions
Prior lead or senior-level BSA experience preferred
Self-starter with the ability to coordinate work across teams and build strong business relationships
Ability to dig into data and perform complex analysis independently
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum practices
Nice to have - experience with Snowflake, DataStage, Python/PySpark, Infogix, or Tableau
Exposure to enterprise data warehousing concepts
