+ **Schedule:** Full time, 40 hours, Monday- Friday 0700-1530 with flexible schedule based on department need. Required to take administrative call during off hours, weekends & holidays.

**Responsibilities**

Manage the daily operations of the central sterile supply unit.

+ Develop specific departmental goals, standards, and objectives which directly support the strategic plan and vision of the organization.

+ Collect and report on data concerning instrument distribution, loss and replacement.

+ Work collaboratively to identify and implement strategies related to product standardization, supply reduction, and cost containment.

+ Manage staff relations including performance management, staff satisfaction and conflict management.

+ May perform and oversee processes such as scheduling, recruitment, payroll and student engagement.

+ Monitor departmental budgets, regulatory compliance, departmental contracts, vendor relations, and quality and process compliance of all sterilization activities throughout the health system.

+ Monitor quality and process compliance of all sterilization activities.

+ Establish and maintain sterilization, safety and security standards, policies and procedures for Sterile Processing Department to ensure compliance with all applicable regulations.

**Requirements**

Licensure/Certification/Registration:

Required Credential(s):

One or more of the following:

+ Central Service Tech specializing in Sterile Processing credentialed from the International

+ Association of Healthcare Central Service Material Management (IAHCSMM) obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date.

+ Central Service Tech specializing in Sterile Processing credentialed from the Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution (CBSPD) obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date

Education:

+ High School diploma equivalency with 3 years of cumulative experience OR Associate'sdegree/Technical degree with 2 years of experience OR 7 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

+ 3 years of leadership or management experience preferred.

**Additional Preferences**

+ deal candidates should be familiar with The Joint Commission,OSHA and CMS standards for the Sterile Processing department.

+ Be able to process capital requisition and order supplies/equipment for other MOSH departments

+ Be able to attend late meetings

+ Responsible for 24/7 operations of the department
