Summary:
The Certified Scrum Master (CSM) will facilitate, coach, and help guide teams in an agile environment with a focus on delivering high-quality products. This role involves fostering collaboration among team members, ensuring adherence to Scrum principles, and promoting an agile mindset throughout the organization.
The CSM will work closely with the Product Owner to ensure the backlog is well-groomed and that the team can meet its commitments. This position requires strong communication skills and expertise in managing team dynamics while navigating any organizational impediments.
Requirements
Required Qualifications for Position:
• Certification as a Scrum Master
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Scrum Master with proven track record.
• Solid understanding of Agile methodologies and principles.
• Excellent facilitation and mentoring skills; able to help teams improve their processes.
• Strong problem-solving skills and conflict resolution abilities.
• Ability to effectively communicate complex ideas clearly to various stakeholders.
• Experience in leading sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Knowledge of project management tools (e.g., JIRA, Trello) preferred.
Preferred Additional Qualifications for Position:
• Experience working in a fast-paced IT or software development environment.
• Familiarity with the Energy Industry is a plus.
• Background in software development or related field.
• Able to inspire and motivate team members by fostering a collaborative working environment.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
• Supports the Scrum Team with the overall objectives and helps ensure accountability among all members.
• Facilitates daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives ensuring that all voices are heard.
• Helps the team to self-organize and resolve any interpersonal issues that may hinder progress.
• Works closely with the Product Owner to manage and prioritize the product backlog.
• Identifies obstacles impacting the team's performance and drives their removal.
• Advocates for a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging teams to adapt and evolve.
• Communicates progress and impediments to management and stakeholders in a transparent manner.
• Provides coaching and training to team members on Agile practices and principles.
