The Human Resources team at Franklin University is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated HR Student Assistant to support a variety of administrative and operational functions within the department. This position provides hands-on experience in several key areas of HR, including Engagement, Benefits & Wellness, HRIS, and Recruiting.
Key Responsibilities:
· Respond to inquiries via phone and email in a timely and professional manner
· Assist with scheduling meetings, interviews, and department events
· Provide general administrative support, including document preparation and data entry
· Help support wellness and employee engagement events
· Contribute to special projects that support HR initiatives and process improvements
· Support the coordination and promotion of HR-led training and communications (e.g., flyers, announcements, etc.)
· Participate in regular HR team meetings and contribute ideas
Qualifications:
· Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.)
· Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to work independently
· Ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain confidentiality
Eligibility & Schedule:
· Must be a current Franklin University student
· Able to work up to 19 hours per week, Monday–Friday between 8:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
· In-person presence required on our downtown Columbus campus; a hybrid work schedule may be considered
