Forklift Operator - Warren, Ar

PotlatchDeltic Land and Lumber is currently seeking candidates for the Forklift Operator position. This position is responsible for moving cross-outs to the strapper, loading and placing lumber on the re-entry belt, and managing wrecked loads. They also ensure bunks of lumber are restrapped after the grader has inspected lumber and filled out partial packages of lumber. This position requires operating a larger forklift, and previous experience is preferred, although not required. Successful candidates must be safety-minded and willing to promote and participate in safety on the job.

The hourly rate of pay for this position is $21.26.

Working Conditions:

Extreme heat/cold (weather and non-weather related)

Exposure to high noise levels requiring ear protection (manufacturing plant, outdoor heavy equipment)

Working near moving machinery

Fumes or airborne debris

Whole-body vibration (vibration through the seat or under the feet)

Essential Physical Functions:

Sitting

Standing

Walking on concrete and uneven surfaces

Kneeling

Squatting

Bending

Climbing the ladder to the forklift

Ability to communicate clearly

Lift 50 lbs.

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent

Must be able to work any shift (Days, Nights, Graveyard or Weekends)

Prior lumber mill experiences preferred.

Prior forklift/machine operations training preferred.

Able to work well in a team environment.

Self-motivated, hard worker

Must be a safety-oriented individual.

NCRC Certification preferred.
