Acera: The Massachusetts School of Science, Creativity and Leadership 5 Lowell Avenue, Winchester, MA 01890 (8 miles north of Boston) Job Duties & Key Responsibilities Marketing & Outreach

Promote Acera programs through in-house and external event participation (e.g., Town Days, local festivals, parades).

Help build and maintain a dynamic social media presence aligned with Acera’s voice and brand.

Collaborate on marketing and outreach efforts to grow enrollment in Core Program and Enrichment.

Manage and publicize student contests (e.g., Noetic Math, Math Kangaroo, Future Engineer Competitions).

Collect, create, and share visual and written content to tell Acera’s story and elevate program visibility. Program Support – Enrichment & Operations

Coordinate and support logistics for Acera’s after school, vacation, and summer enrichment programs.

Oversee student check-in/out, aftercare, and daily Extended Day programming.

Supervise February and April school vacation camps.

Maintain after school snack inventory and enrichment program materials.

Supervise and support interns and Counselors-in-Training (CITs).

Assist with daily communication and responsive customer service for families and staff. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required

At least 2 years of relevant experience in education, enrichment programming, nonprofit operations, or marketing.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

High emotional intelligence and sound judgment under pressure.

Excellent organization and time management abilities.

Experience managing people, interns, or student programs is a plus.

Proficiency in Google Suite, Microsoft Office, and social media platforms.

Creative mindset and passion for progressive education and student-centered learning.

A growth mindset and enthusiasm for ongoing learning and professional growth. Salary & Benefits

$50,000-51,500 annually

Four weeks of accrued vacation.

School year position, full time

School-aged children of full time employees are able to attend Acera’s after school program free of charge.

School aged-children who independently apply for and are granted admission to Acera typically receive a financial aid stipend, capping annual tuition at $17,000/ year.

Schedule-Will include some flexible hours:

Weekend and Evenings- when additional time is required, we offer comp time to ensure a balanced workload.

School Year: 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM

Summer: 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM (8 hour variable within that range)

Includes February and April school vacation weeks Working Conditions

Prolonged periods standing and walking throughout school, classroom, and campus, including climbing stairs.

Must be able to assist students who have physical difficulties.

Must be able to kneel, sit, stand, crawl, push, and pull to assist children throughout the day.

Must be able to traverse the space and adjust one’s tone and height, by bending or leaning.

Prolonged periods sitting and working on a computer.

Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
