Summary: The Project Architect is the technical leader of the team responsible for translating design intent into construction documents. As the technical leader of the team, the Project Architect must have superior understanding of code requirements and issues impacting building constructability.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
•Work under the direction of the Project Manager
•Collaborate with the Project Designer, Interior Designer, and/or Planner to develop construction documents that accomplish the design intent
•Collaborate with the Specification Writer to ensure that the technical requirements of the project are accomplished
•Coordinate quality reviews with other PA’s
•Lead owner/user meetings, particularly in the Design Development phase, to ensure the requirements of the project have been included in the construction documents and properly coordinated
•Code review and coordination with various code officials to ensure approvals
•Collaboration/coordination with Engineers
•Collaboration/coordination with Builders (CM’s, GC’s, Developers, Owner’s Representatives, etc.)
•Collaboration/coordination with equipment vendors for proper and timely installation
•Shop Drawing review and approval
•Construction Administration
Qualifications
Education and/or Experience:
•First professional degree (Bachelor of Architecture or equivalent) from an accredited school of architecture is a minimum requirement
•Master’s degree preferred
•Three plus years experience in architecture
•BIM (Revit) and Microsoft Office Proficiency is a must
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
•Architectural Registration - required •LEED AP - preferred
