A Brief Overview

The Principal Program Manager position partners with other leaders to define strategy, requirements, and timelines. This position is accountable for driving and managing the execution of cross functional programs in alignment with those strategic business priorities and goals. This role enables execution and implementation of the most complex initiatives, across multiple teams, facilitating decision making, stakeholder engagement, assessing change management and managing risk, all within a Value Stream construct.

What you will do

Responsible for a variety of portfolio projects ranging in complexity spanning one or multiple lines of business

Partner with business leaders to design, evaluate and advance their strategies

Define success criteria in partnership with stakeholders, direct the team in alignment with those goals and hold parties responsible throughout project and program life cycle

Develop governance structure to keep key stakeholders aware and involved and ensure their requirements are accounted for in the solution and delivery timeline

Manage the day-to-day program activities and resources

Allocate resources to maximize efficiency and outcomes, with proficiency in leading complex negotiations to achieve favorable outcomes

Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation and presentations to various audiences, including project team, sponsors, executive leadership, and key partners

Identify and understand interdependencies between technology, operations, and business needs

Ensure solutions address intended outcomes while also anticipating risks / issues and implementing mitigation strategies

Provide status reporting regarding milestones, deliverables, dependencies, risks and issues, communicating across leadership

Support the development of project/program managers through mentorship, coaching and best practice sharing

Education Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree

Experience Qualifications

12+ years’ experience in Project/Program Management

Training/Certification Requirements

PMP

Agile methodologies preferred

Skills and Abilities

Applies subject matter expertise, unique knowledge and skills to contribute to development of company objectives and principles and to achieve goals in creative and effective ways

Exercises independent judgment in methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results

Advanced experience with various project management and collaboration tools (e.g., SharePoint, Teams, Monday.com, MS Office suite)

Demonstrated experience managing large-scale transformation programs with multiple related projects

Proven ability to provide thought leadership for roadmap planning, organizational development, and project/process solutions

Ability to collaborate, direct, and motivate cross-functional teams, holding team members accountable for their contributions

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with extensive experience presenting to executive levels and engaging with technical and non-technical partners at all organizational levels

Utilizes knowledge of leading practices and enables their use to execute complex initiatives

The preferred location for this role is Atlanta, GA, and the salary range for this location is $106,300.00 to $233,800.00. All qualified external applicants will be considered for an in-office role, based in Atlanta. All qualified intern.al candidates are encouraged to apply and consider relocation to Atlanta and may be considered for remote hire at the company’s discretion. The candidate’s final salary offer will be based on the candidate’s skills, education, work location and experience.

A candidate’s compensation may also include bonuses consistent with TriNet’s corporate bonus plan.
