Because of the need for consistent, in-person collaboration and/or the requirement to perform all work onsite due to the nature of this particular role, it will be performed full-time on site. This means work will be conducted on location at a BAE Systems facility 100% of the time.

The MES Support Specialist is responsible for configuring and optimizing the Manufacturing Execution System (MES) within the manufacturing environment at our Microelectronics Foundry facility. This role ensures the MES operates efficiently to support production processes in compliance with industry standards. The support specialist will work closely with cross-functional teams, including production, quality assurance, and IT, to improve system functionalities.

1. MES System Support

Operate as the subject matter expert on the MES system.

Understanding of PROMIS modeling including data collection, charts, recipes, procedures, routes, parts, parameter substitution, capabilities/constraints and task management scheduling.

Actively participate in the development of processes, identifying and recommending process improvements.

Collaborates with Manufacturing Engineers & Production Leaders in support of opportunities, requirements, training, and support.

Understanding of SPC methodologies and chart creation.

Troubleshoot, maintain, and enhance PROMIS MES including engineering and production environments.2. Process Optimization

Analyze manufacturing workflows to identify opportunities for MES enhancements.

Implement changes in the MES to improve production efficiency and data accuracy.

Develop and document best practices and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for system use.3. Training and Support

Train production and operational staff on the effective use of the MES.

Provide ongoing technical support to resolve system-related issues.

Act as the primary point of contact for MES troubleshooting and enhancements.

Office-based with frequent interaction in manufacturing environments.

This position will be posted for at least 5 calendar days. The posting will remain active until the position is filled, or a qualified pool of candidates is identified.

B.S. in Industrial Engineering, Operations, Information Systems, Information Technology, Analytics, Business Intelligence or similar.

Minimum 4-6 years’ experience supporting PROMIS MES (Manufacturing Execution System).

Extensive experience of configuring and managing Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) such as PROMIS, Ops Center or Camstar.

Strong knowledge of foundry semiconductor manufacturing processes and workflows.

SECS/GEM equipment integration

Familiarity with Tableau reporting software a plus.

Knowledge of PROMIS MES system and HP-UX/ RedHat Enterprise Linux

Strong analytical skills to assess production data and optimize processes.

Excellent communication skills for training and cross-departmental collaboration.

Applies problem solving skills, and executes solutions to difficult problems independently, with minimal oversight of leadership.

Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively.
