In this role, you will drive strategic establishment and growth in the power transmission and distribution sector. You will have a proven track record in securing high-value contracts, building strong client relationships, and identifying new market opportunities. This position is part of our Design & Consulting team that unites architecture, engineering, and consulting professionals from across industries and geographies.
Your responsibilities will include:
Strategy
Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy to achieve revenue and growth targets
Identify and pursue new business opportunities with utilities, renewable energy firms, EPC contractors, and government agencies
Collaborate with engineering and project management teams to align solutions with client needs
Monitor industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitor activities to inform strategic decisions
Provide accurate sales forecasts and reports to senior leadership
Client Engagement
Lead business development initiatives by creating account plans, pursuing new opportunities, and managing proposal efforts
Build and maintain long-term relationships with key stakeholders, including C-level executives and decision-makers
Lead the preparation of proposals, bids, and presentations for large-scale transmission and distribution projects
Represent the company at industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events Education/Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field
10+ years of experience in business development or sales within the power transmission and distribution industry
To thrive in this role, you will need:
Successful track record of business development and leading a team
Experience with utility capital project execution, contract management, and risk mitigation
Strong understanding of transmission & distribution industry including smart grid technologies, high-voltage equipment, grid infrastructure, and renewable energy integration
Proven ability to develop and manage accounts, close deals, and manage complex sales cycles
Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
Established network of industry contacts in utilities, renewables, or EPC firms
Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics)
Experience working with public sector clients, as well as private sector mission critical project development
Strategic mindset with a hands-on approach to problem-solving
