What you will do:

As a D365 Finance and Operations Senior Analyst, you will play a critical role in analyzing and optimizing the financial processes and data analytics requirements within the organization. You will be responsible for managing and leveraging the functionalities of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations (D365 F&O) to ensure seamless financial operations. This role requires an in-depth background in all finance modules and a strong expertise in data analytics and requirements gathering to drive efficient and effective decision-making processes.

The key to being successful in this role will be to focus on the following: Process and automation optimization, Cash Forecasting, Farm to Finance optimization, and Microsoft Fabric Modernization in a Hybrid Work environment. In our Hybrid Work environment, you will be collaborating with Finance Stakeholders, Data Analytics Developers/Analysts, D365 Analysts, and D365 Developers/Architects.

Here’s a day in the life:

D365 F&O

Analyze and optimize financial processes within D365 F&O. Identify areas for improvement and implement the best practices to enhance system performance and efficiency.

Provide in-depth knowledge and support for all finance modules within D365 F&O, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, Budgeting, and Financial Reporting.

Ensure accurate and timely financial data entry, processing, and reporting.

Perform other application-related duties as required or assigned.

REQUIREMENTS GATHERING

Collaborate with cross-functional teams and business stakeholders to gather and document business requirements for financial processes and data analytics.

Translate business requirements into technical specifications for system enhancements and new functionalities.

Gather and analyze data requirements from various stakeholders and translate requirements to technical requirements for data analytics.

DATA & ANALYTICS

Develop and maintain comprehensive financial reports and dashboards using data analytics tools; while providing actionable insights to support strategic decision making and growth. Support rollout and adoption of data analytics solutions with business partners.

PROJECT & RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT

Conduct training sessions and provide ongoing support to end-users on D365 F&O functionalities and best practices; while troubleshooting and resolving system-related issues to ensure smooth operations

Participate in and lead finance-related projects, including system upgrades, integrations, and implementations; coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure project deliverables are met on time and within budget.

Support the communication strategy for scheduled production releases and summarize new functionality/implications of new features released to stakeholders

Attendance at multi-day off-site training sessions, weekend and evening work, and response to after-hours emergency calls may be required.

Shows an ability to step into new situations and quickly comprehend the environmental landscape, to effectively work with a wide variety of functional areas and systems.

Possesses strong business acumen, and ease with a “big picture” understanding of business processes and the ability to drill-down into details as situationally required.

Communicate effectively; excellent verbal, visual, and written communication skills

Collaborate in a team environment while exercising independent judgment and initiative.

Develop and maintain strong working relationships with key internal customers at all levels to understand their business drivers and work with internal customers to understand requirements and deliver/promote technical solutions as appropriate

Work under pressure, meet deadlines, be flexible in working on multiple projects simultaneously and the ability to work independently with little supervision.

EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Technology, or a related field preferred

Minimum 7 years of experience in a combination of IT, finance, and/or business requirements analysis required

5+ years working with business stakeholders to assess, document, and communicate needs and requirements

Extensive experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations, including all finance modules.

Preferred experience with other financial applications such as: High Radius (Automated Cash Forecasting), Blackline (Financial Audit / Close Processes), Workday Adaptive (Enterprise Budgeting/Forecasting)

Strong background in data analytics, with proficiency in tools such as Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, SQL, Spark, and Excel.

Proven experience in requirements gathering, system analysis, and process optimization.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Project management experience is preferred. (Scrum/Agile methodology)

Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with tight timelines

Self-motivated with excellent follow-through

Ability to drive projects with minimal guidance
