Multi Craft Maintenance Technician

Job Description

Allied Reliability is seeking an experienced Multi-craft Maintenance Technician for a 3rd shift position at a premier USDA-regulated food manufacturing facility in Columbus. This temp-to-hire role offers excellent career advancement opportunities with a leading food processor specializing in premium frozen chicken products.

Schedule & Compensation

Shift: 3rd Shift (11:00 PM - 7:30 AM)

Days: Monday through Friday

Pay Rate: $25-35 per hour (based on experience)

Position Type: Temp to Hire with full benefits upon conversion

Key Responsibilities

Maintain and repair production and packaging equipment in a food manufacturing environment

Perform preventive maintenance on conveyor systems and production lines

Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems

Support equipment breakdown for sanitation procedures

Minor PLC programming and troubleshooting (Allen Bradley preferred)

Document maintenance activities and maintain accurate records

Work safely in temperature-controlled environments (including freezer areas)

Required Qualifications

3-5 years of maintenance experience in manufacturing (food industry preferred)

Multi-craft skills: strong mechanical AND electrical abilities

Experience with preventive maintenance programs

Hydraulic and pneumatic systems knowledge

Ability to work in cold environments (-3 ree;F to -10 ree;F)

High school diploma or equivalent

Must have driver's license

Must pass background check, drug screen, and physical

Preferred Qualifications

Food manufacturing or USDA facility experience

PLC experience (Allen Bradley)

Welding and fabrication skills

CMMS experience

Two-year technical degree
