Project Manager

Well-established, growing, reputable construction company has an immediate opportunity for a Project Manager. The steady, rapid growth of our company has created the need to hire someone who can step in and immediately run projects. The successful candidate will have eight (8) plus years of experience, strong leadership abilities, detail oriented for complete finished package, a passion for timeliness and excellence, and the ability to communicate to all levels in an organization. This position is ideal for an experienced construction professional who understands both field execution and preconstruction planning. You will be responsible for preparing accurate estimates, submitting competitive bids, managing project execution, coordinating with clients, managing change orders, and overseeing crews, equipment, and materials. Strong experience in utilities is required.

Essential Responsibilities:

Prepare accurate, timely estimates for horizontal drilling, utility installation, and site restoration (earthwork, concrete, and asphalt).

Conduct site visits and pre-bid walkthroughs.

Read and interpret engineering drawings, utility plans, and bid specifications.

Submit complete, competitive bids and prequal packages on time to clients.

Collaborate with clients, engineers, and vendors to clarify scope and pricing.

Plan, coordinate, and oversee all aspects of awarded projects from mobilization to final restoration.

Create and manage project schedules, budgets, and manpower allocations.

Issue and manage subcontractor agreements and purchase orders.

Track and submit change orders and ensure documentation is accurate and timely.

Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout project execution.

Conduct job site inspections to ensure compliance with specifications, timelines, and safety standards.

Essential Qualifications:

Eight (8) plus years of proven experience as a Project Manager and/or Estimator in the construction industry.

Expertise in horizontal directional drilling, utility construction, and restoration.

Strong knowledge of estimating software, fleet management tools, and client-based project management systems.

Ability to read and interpret utility maps, blueprints, and bid specs.

High-level organizational skills and ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.

Effective communicator with ability to lead field teams and coordinate with clients and vendors.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and cloud-based project management platforms.

Experience in managing projects at or below budget

Demonstrated ability to effectively manage crews, craftsmen and vendors.

Verifiable success at forecasting material, equipment and manpower.

Self-Motivated with the desire to function independently.

A passion for quality, timely work within budgeted guidelines.

Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
