CNC Machinist Programmer

Environment

Machine shop

Small team, good guys/culture and company, not a lot of turnover

Indoor/outdoor facility

Cooled by EVAP cool fans. Will be in a climate-controlled office 50% of the time, and the other 50% on the machine shop floor

Production resembles aerospace equipment, but experience in aerospace is not a requirement

Schedule

Monday-Thursday (5AM-3:30PM)

Some OT on Fridays

Pay

$28/hr

Temp to perm - 1-3 months - excellent benefits when you go perm, including 401k match

3 years of related experience

Experience with SolidWorks/CAM Works

G-code / experience programming Romi brand lathes highly desired

Proficient in set-up, and operation of CNC machining centers and CNC lathes

Design, program machinery, operate machine, assemble, test, and evaluate devices to ensure they meet the final requirements of appearance and functionality.

Ability to interpret blueprints, drawings, specifications and determine dimensions and tolerances.

Duties

In this role, you will be required to program and assist machine operators in setting up a variety of machines, including mills, lathes, mill turns, and others as needed.

You will be responsible for reviewing blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine part/product dimensions and tolerances, sequence of operations, and setup requirements.

Your tasks will include setting machine speeds and feeds, editing G & M code from the CNC controller, machining complex, high-tolerance components, designing fixtures and tooling for complex machining operations, and serving as a backup for Machinists.

When required, you will perform Machinist work.Company Description
