CNC Operator/Machinist/ Programmer

Job Description

Description: CNC Operator/Machinist/ Programmer

Job Purpose: Set up and program parts on CNC mill, QC inspections on finished parts, mold repair and trouble shooting.

Job Duties:

Programming Haas CNC mills and lathe

Understanding of set up of parts and tooling for CNC milling jobs

Make tooling offset adjustments to produce accurate parts to print

Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to safety standards

Repair existing molds when needed

Perform mold modifications when needed to allow for proper venting of parts

Perform all task in a timely manor

Perform quality control inspections on parts for shipping release

Ability to work efficiently with minimal guidance

Understanding of blue prints including GD&T

Ability to set up 3 axis and 4 axis fixtures

Requirements

3 years minimum machining experience. Preferably in a job shop environment

2 years minimum CAM programming experiance

G-code programming

CAM programming

Understanding of GD&T

Solidworks (or comparable CAD system)

SolidCAM ( Preferred but not requited)

Communication skills in a team environment

Communication skills via E-mail, Word, Excel (Preferred but not required)

Ability to meet the physical demands of the job, including but not limited to: frequent sitting, standing, and walking; frequent climbing and balancing on large equipment; frequent stooping, kneeling, bending, and crouching; frequent lifting or moving up to 25 lbs.; occasional lifting or moving up to 75 lbs.

Job Type: Full-time

Expected hours: 40 - 55 per week
