The pay range for this position is $30.14-$49.06 based on direct and relevant experience.

There is a $5,000 relocation or sign on bonus for this role! RAYUS Radiology has a rare opportunity for a Lead MRI Technologist at our St Louis Park, MN location. Shape the future of MRI at our one-of-a-kind outpatient imaging center with three unique scanners and a passionate team ready for your leadership. As a Lead Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Technologist, you will provide leadership and management to technologists in assigned modality. You will also support and enhance the overall team by acting as a resource for new and long-term associates. This is a full-time position typically working day shift, start times between 6:30am-8:00am (8 hour shifts) and includes weekend rotation. This position is available part-time working 0.8 or 0.9 FTE for work/life balance. No call!

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

(80-85%) Patient MRI Imaging

Screens patient before exam for any precautions or contradictions pertaining to examination, using two patient identifiers to ensure correct patient and procedure

Explains and prepares patients for MRI procedures that will be performed, explaining the procedure, positioning patients so that the parts of the body can be appropriately

Performs routine and advanced MRI procedures on designated portions of the body for use by physicians in the diagnosing and treating of patient illness and/or injury with minimal amount of supervision or repeats scanned, while providing patient support by talking to patients throughout procedure

Adjusts MRI scan parameters correctly and as needed

Maintains positive attitude and working relationships with radiologist, referring customers and other associates and peers

Follows physicians' orders precisely and conforms to safety regulations to protect yourself, your patients, and coworkers

Accurately maintains patient records within Radiology Information System (RIS)

Maintains an orderly and clean work area promoting good safety habits for patients and co-workers

Maintains ACR toolkit and accreditation requirements

Maintains equipment in good working order; cleans and disinfects equipment after each use

Ensures compliance with all HIPAA guidelines

(10-15%) Team Supervision

Assists in the hiring process for new associates

Coordinates the training and onboarding of new associates

Leads regular team meetings and associates one-on-ones

Monitors and approves timecards

Initiates and participates in performance reviews, development, and performance management of associates

Develops associate schedules to provide for planned time off, ensuring appropriate staffing levels and adequate coverage

Evaluates workflow and implements process improvements for the team

Ensures team has knowledge of company and department policies and corresponding procedures are in place

Supports associates ensuring highest level of patient satisfaction

Leads special projects and/or committees, as assigned

Manages other departments in the absence of manager or peers and coordinates schedule to ensure appropriate coverage

(5%) Completes other tasks as assigned

Requirements:

Required:

ARRT registered technologist, current and in good standing, dependent on State regulations and business needs

4+ years imaging experience, with demonstrated ability to serve as a resource to others and identify and implement process improvement opportunities

Graduate of the American Medical Association (AMA) approved school of radiography Licensed Radiological Technologist in the appropriate state, if applicable

Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification

Must have training and experience sufficient to competently perform advanced MRI procedures independently with highest quality

Preferred:

Certification in imaging specialty

Bilingual

Works in multiple modalities and/or has multi-modality certifications

Prior supervisory or leadership experience
