Sr. Processing Engineer (Manufacturing)

Job Description

A manufacturing company is seeking a Sr. Processing Engineer to join their team near Yocumtown, PA. This position is responsible for driving operational efficiency, ensuring regulatory and cGMP compliance, and supporting the integrity of the company's clean, non-classified manufacturing spaces. A bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Microbiology, or a related scientific field, 7+ years of process engineering experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, or related industry, and proficiency in Lean Six Sigma tools and methodologies is required. This is a full-time, exempt, in-person position with a bonus, excellent benefits and 401k.

Sr. Processing Engineer Duties:

-Design, implement, and continuously improve manufacturing processes to enhance yield, reduce variability, and minimize downtime.

-Apply Lean Six Sigma principles to support root cause analysis, defect reduction, and operational excellence.

-Lead structured problem-solving events with cross-functional teams.

-Maintain and reinforce disciplined behaviors within clean, non-classified production environments.

-Oversee production line activities to ensure compliance with gowning, hygiene, and contamination control protocols.

-Champion cleanroom-like standards in gowning, personnel practices, and process flow without the constraints of ISO classification.

-Plan and execute validation protocols (IQ/OQ/PQ) for new and existing equipment and processes.

-Ensure production activities meet all FDA, cGMP, and internal quality standards.

-Manage and maintain documentation to support regulatory audits and inspections.

-Optimize equipment performance including bottling lines, conveyor systems, and powder handling equipment.

-Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership across cross-functional project teams.

Sr. Processing Engineer Skills:

-Must have a bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Microbiology, or a related scientific field

-Must have 7+ years of process engineering experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, or related industry -

-Must be proficient in Lean Six Sigma tools and methodologies

-Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards.

-Ability to lift and carry materials or equipment weighing up to 25 pounds.Company Description
