Automation Lead

Position Summary:

Our Partner is expanding its Business Intelligence and Automation team and seeking a highly technical Automation Lead. This is a hands-on leadership role focused on building, optimizing, and scaling automation solutions across critical banking operations. The ideal candidate will have deep experience in workflow automation, RPA, AI tools integration, and a strong passion for mentoring teams while still being active in the technical delivery. The Automation Lead will play a key role in enhancing operational efficiency through automation strategies while collaborating closely with internal stakeholders to streamline processes, integrate AI-driven solutions, and drive innovation.

Experience and Education:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience.

5+ years leading hands-on automation initiatives across RPA, AI/ML integrations, and workflow automation.

Strong practical experience designing, developing, and deploying automation solutions across business operations.

Prior banking, financial services, or regulated industry experience preferred.

Bilingual in English and Spanish highly preferred (not required but strongly valued).

Responsibilities:

Lead the development, implementation, and optimization of automation solutions across the bank's operations.

Provide day-to-day technical guidance, support, and mentorship to a small automation team.

Design, script, and deploy automation workflows leveraging RPA, Python, and workflow automation tools.

Support integration of AI-powered tools (e.g., document understanding, workflow automation) into internal processes.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Operations, Credit Analysis, Risk Management, and IT, to identify automation opportunities.

Develop functional and technical documentation for solutions to ensure scalability and knowledge transfer.

Track the effectiveness of automation initiatives, defining KPIs and delivering insights to leadership.

Stay updated on emerging technologies in RPA, AI, and workflow automation; propose improvements or adoption strategies.

Ensure all automation initiatives comply with internal security policies, banking regulations, and industry standards.

Support vendor tool evaluation and optimization processes as needed.

Actively participate in ongoing training programs and contribute to continuous team skill development.
