Structural Engineer

Insight Global is currently seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join an Engineering Consulting company in Mobile, AL to support Structural projects across the gulf coast. This role involves leading a team of engineers and designers to deliver civil/structural projects on time, within budget, and meeting quality standards.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

- Bachelor or Master of Science degree in Civil Engineering

- 10+ years of experience as a civil / structural engineer with a background in heavy industrial engineering

- Must possess or be willing to obtain a PE

- Prior experience developing construction cost estimates, detailed engineering schedules and man-hour budgets

- Ability to determine construction material quantities

Key responsibilities include reviewing and approving deliverables, validating and tracking estimates, and establishing design criteria. The lead engineer will manage project scope, plan and organize team work, and maintain project control. They will also delegate tasks, consult with other disciplines, and ensure efficient use of construction materials. Additionally, the role involves producing specifications, monitoring drawings, and participating in training and professional development.
