An industry leading, multi-billion dollar aerospace and defense manufacturing organization is currently looking to add an Electrical Engineer to their growing team. This is a plant based manufacturing position and would be based at their rapidly expanding manufacturing location.
Responsibilities:
Provides electrical and/or electronic engineering technical support manufacturing facility.
Engineers, designs, installs, commissions, and tests new equipment and equipment upgrades, including capital projects; supervises and directs outside resources when applicable.
Recommends modifications to improve reliability, quality, and productivity of the site equipment. Oversees modifications as authorized. Works with engineering and management to develop solutions to recurring problems. Follows solutions and modifications through to installation. Evaluates effectiveness of actions.
Leads and/or participates in continuous improvement to processes, equipment, and maintenance.
Assists in problem solving for unplanned downtime.
Leads and assists technicians in troubleshooting large industrial power supplies, drives, and furnace components.
Troubleshoots and diagnoses operating electrical systems utilizing meters, oscilloscopes, and other analyzers.
Monitors process, including new equipment and tools, to ensure performance to specifications. Implements capital and non-capital projects.
Identifies causes and develops strategies for eliminating re-occurring downtime.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
Hands-on experience with industrial power supplies, drives, motors, and controls; ability to troubleshoot electrical component controls in an industrial facility
Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar engineering role within a manufacturing environment.
Working knowledge of PLC programming-Allen Bradley
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities and work with personnel at all organizational levels.
