[What you will be working on]

As a Programme & Engagement Manager, you will play a key role in planning and executing programmes and activities to drive adoption of data & artificial intelligence innovation, and to foster the development of related skills among a diverse community. This role blends community engagement, program management, and event coordination to drive impactful AI initiatives and upskill practitioners in this rapidly evolving field.

You will help to shape Government AI innovation landscape by designing programmes that directly influence AI adoption and capability-building across the public sector. You will collaborate with stakeholders across government, industry, and academia to design and execute engaging tasks, challenges, and events that inspire innovation and participation. While deep technical expertise in AI is not required, a strong experience working in tech or related roles on driving innovation through technology and familiarity with the latest developments in AI are essential.

Job Responsibilities

Programme Development & Management

Design and deliver national-level AI innovation programmes (e.g., hackathons, incubators, accelerators) that align with public sector transformation goals.

Support the evaluation of teams applying to join programmes with considerations such as clarity of problem statement, availability/limitations of existing products/platforms that might address the problem, clarity on the problem’s impact and addressable market.

Define programme success metrics and continuously refine initiatives based on feedback and outcomes.

Track the progress of teams post programme such as POV and funding application.

Plan and direct logistics for programmes, including participant onboarding, schedules, deliverables, and deadlines.

Oversee other aspects of event planning, including confirming collaborators, organizing judging panels, and facilitating mentorship programs.

Community Engagement & Stakeholder Collaboration

Forge partnerships with Government Agencies, industry, and academic institutions to collaborate on impactful innovation initiatives.

Source and engage speakers, mentors, and judges for events and programmes.

Build and grow a dynamic community of data and AI enthusiasts, practitioners and innovators across the public sector.

Content & Communication

Lead outreach campaigns (e.g., social media, newsletters, direct engagement) to drive programme awareness and participation.

Ensure program collateral and communications align with the overall vision and objectives.

Play the role of a host for small/medium size events such as hackathons and incubators.

[What we are looking for]

Diploma or Degree in relevant field (e.g., Communications, Business, Technology) or equivalent work experience.

At least 2 years relevant experience in programme management, leading innovation teams/programmes or consulting companies on innovation. Other experience with community engagement, hackathons/incubators, or event planning is preferred but not mandatory.

Strong stakeholder management and organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and deadlines independently.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
